Greg Hammond

Based in our Boston office, Greg Hammond leads BioTalent's USA CMC team, specialising in experienced hires across R&D and Technical Operations. With expertise spanning CMC, Process Development, Analytical Development, MSAT, Manufacturing, and Operations, Greg partners with Biotech and CDMO organisations to deliver top talent. From Principal Scientists and Engineers to C-suite leaders like COOs and CTOs, he plays a pivotal role in shaping teams that drive innovation and growth.

Greg’s journey into life sciences recruitment began in 2015 after completing a BSc in Biochemistry and an MSc in Managing the Environment with Bioenergy. While he initially considered a lab-based career, Greg found his passion in recruitment, where he could combine his love for science with a desire to make a tangible impact. He joined BioTalent in May 2020 and has since been instrumental in supporting the bioprocessing industry, with a particular interest in Advanced Therapeutics.

An industry thought leader, Greg keeps a close eye on emerging trends like CRISPR, AI integration, RNA technologies, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). He’s also fascinated by the resurgence of traditional biologics and small-molecule therapies, recognizing their enduring importance alongside cutting-edge advancements.

Outside of work, Greg stays active by playing golf, squash, padel, and pickleball. He also enjoys walks with his cockapoo, Barney. A fun fact? Greg once shared a corporate box with Samuel L. Jackson at Stamford Bridge during a Chelsea football match—a memory as legendary as the actor himself. While Greg didn’t achieve his childhood dream of becoming a professional golfer, he still aspires to compete on the Legends (Seniors) Tour one day.
